The beaches along the coast still show many traces of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy, such as batteries, bunkers and cemeteries including the famous American Cemetery. This flight with commentary will give you a bird’s eye view of that memorable day on 6 June 1944.
You’ll fly over Arromanches, Port en Bessin and the American cemetery. As you turn around Omaha Beach, you’ll see the Pointe du Hoc in the distance. Nearly 155,000 soldiers embarked on a battle that would seal the outcome of the Second World War.
